Way back, I sent some photos to the rockpiles blog, and mentioned that i'd seen a stone on the shore of the Ottawa river here in Ottawa, that resembled an anchor stone. But I couldn't find the photo of it. I found it, and it's attached.
This part of the shoreline gets a lot of erosion and displacement, so I've no expectation of finding this stone again, but there it - was.Seeing it again, the thing still makes me think.
What is the size of the anchor stone?

ReplyDeleteI'd say it was about 18" end-to-end.
More of a plummet than an anchor, perhaps.
