This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

Split Boulder ceremony - Oak Hill Littleton
I cannot tell if this boulder was split deliberately or naturally. The small wedge between the two larger fragments was inserted afterwards, and I think that is deliberate. Possibly the wedge serves to keep the two pieces joined.
