How Other Indigenous Peoples Utilize Stone Platforms

By JimP

I thought this was downright interesting. I was just looking around the Internet to see what other indigenous peoples from around the world might be doing with stone structures -- particularly stone platforms. I came across the following two photographs of the Atsabe people in East Timor. I don't claim there to be a direct connection with Southern New England Native People, however many indigenous cultures share striking similarities to other indigenous cultures -- for example, the Aborigines of Australia share a strikingly similar spiritualism to Native People in America. So, for study purposes, there is great value in looking at other cultures from around the world.
