This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

Partially submerged rock pile - from Bruce McAleer
This is from a Vermont beaver pond. I'll post some more of Bruce's pictures later.
If that is a beaver pond then presumably the pile was built when there were no beavers there. That would be an interesting way to try date a rock pile.
