Pathfinder site - sent in by Larry Harrop

The Pathfinder is a Native American archaeoastronomical site in
southeastern Colorado with equinox shadow-play alignments at dawn and
again at midday. In many ways, the slender sunray that lengthens to
about 25 feet during the noon hour, slicing through symbolic
petroglyphs, is more dramatic than the famous Anasazi "Sun Dagger" site
on Fajada Butte in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico, probably America's most
famous archaeoastronomical site. The advancing equinox sun ray at The
Pathfinder appears to memorialize the Navajo legend of Changing Woman
who was impregnated with twins by a blazing sun ray as she slept.
