This one faces south over a nearby rock.

This one faces east up the steep slope of an outcrop with rock piles one it.All three are from near each other in Groton. There was no charcoal involved.
This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
