This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
In what context did you find the skull? Was it just sitting on the ground above the leaf litter, was it buried a bit, was it on a rock pile? Where did Barb find it?

ReplyDeleteIt was lying right side up in the leaves. It was in a dip between little rises, formed by bedrock outcroppings.
