This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

Road straighening - from Tim MacSweeney
Head over to "Waking on Turtle Island" (the link is to the right) and see how a road straigtening project will destroy some of the zig-zag stone walls in Nonnewaug.
Thanks for linking me up - again. It's actually a "road curving" project. The road with the problems is a curve on the state highway where it meets my road. To cut down on accidents on that road, they are going to put a big curve in my road. Like fixing Elm Street because there's a problem on Maple Street...
