This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
I've been meaning to send you a photo of that sign for a long time - I bring someone from Torrington to a doctor's visit in Sharon every 6 months. When the leaves are off the trees, there are many old rock piles visible here and there along the route...
