This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

I wish I could leave a comment at the Globe about the article, as follows: It is plain to see that the rocks in the illustrated rock pile are sharp edged and never were glacial till. So how did they get into a field to be cleared?
