About this hill , here are a couple of shots of the knoll at the top, seen from the direction of the wall.(and a little more to the side)
(and then back on top)
This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
This is a fantastic site. Nice photos!
ReplyDeletewhat a fantastic and beautiful site. everything seems so well preserved. Some of those piles seem very delicate, it's amazing they are in such nice shape. In my opinion, this site is absolutely the nicest I've seen you visit! It must have been an important area. It has a story to tell.
