I was walking down a path through this
and saw a small beige animal, about the size of a fox. I should have frozen and gotten my camera ready. Instead I walked on to get a better look. The animal - a wildcat - looked my way, showing rounded perked up ears and then it dashed off.
All my life I heard there were bobcats around but never saw so much as a possible track in the snow. This was a once in a lifetime viewing.Taking pictures of mountain laurel in lieu of small wild felines, there appeared to be two varieties, one white and one pink.
