This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
The comment for the photo is one I have heard for a large cairn field in Hallstead, NY: that they were built by sheep herders to pass the time!
