ReplyDeleteIn the back of my mind, I cannot help but think that this is an oblique reference not only to the Ancient Vermont conference of 1979, which attempted to address the controversy surrounding Barry Fell's book America BC and his claim that many of the Vermont stone chambers were Celtic, but also to those who have rather outrageous views about the prehistory of New England.
