This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

A good book on the sacred sites of Oahu is "Pana O'ahu: Sacred Stones, Sacred Land, by Jan Becket and Joseph Singer. Excellent black and white photos. I saw an exhibition of the photographs at Berkeley about six or seven years ago.
