I wonder how universal is the sense that rocks express a meaning that will persist beyond our own time?

This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
I would be proud to have a headstone like that! thanks for the photo. Now my family will know my headstone style i want! I was previously thinking of just a simple ground pile style with the classic quartz center but...oh the choices

Much better than messing with Indian-like memorials. But either way graves tend to accumulate small polished rocks that people leave behind. I bet this activity becomes more prevalent.
