This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

Northern Upton Woods
Not a lot of drama up here but the woods of northern Upton are full of short stretches of wall and of lines of rock piles. Is this a traditional boundary marker?A quiet place:
With the third photo, I sometimes think there is a beauty in a simple rock on rock that sometimes gets lost in larger structures.
