Larry Harrop's "dimpled" piles

I would call these hollows, but have not seen them on piles of this size and shape.

  1. I didn't want to imply that these cairns are hollow so I wrote dimples. It's just the top quarter or less that's hollow. While it's something I don't see every day, this type of cairn construction in Rhode Island is fairly common.

  2. Looking again, maybe this is a different phenom. from the "mounds with hollows" I have up here.
