Surveyors cairns, shepherd's cairns, Spanish Boundary Markers from Wyoming
I am buying a property that has some rock piles. Using the lichen growth to estimate the age of the piles, they are at least 200 years old if not more. I started out thinking it was Indians who kerned them then found a heart carved on a rock and then started wondering if the Spanish had something to do with the structures.
