This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

The Rock Eagle Mound has been considerably altered since it was first discovered in the 19th century. I have a 1936 drawing of it that shows its shape before restoration, and another as it appeared in 1887.
