This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

Beaver Lodges and Stone Mounds
A pretty scene in Pelham NH near Spaulding Hill Rd. Here we have a beaver lodge built onto the side of an old stone mound.
One of these days, I'll have to photograph some a certain stone row that leads to a large outcrop on the egde of a beaver pond. The stones keep your feet out of the water. You, Norman and I looked at a certain stone on an outcrop zigzag row that reminded you of a beaver. The stone beaver points (faces)toward the beaver pond...
