This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

ReplyDeleteFunny, I've climbed Katahdin twice (at one time circumnavigating the entire mountain), but I don't recall the tall cairn on the summit. Either I wasn't impressed with its height, or else I'm getting too forgetful.
