The Nolumbeka Project invites you to the Turners Falls Discovery Center for a brief, respectful ceremony on Sunday, May 19th, at 2 p.m., on the 337th anniversary of the Great Falls massacre in 1676.
The ceremony will be conducted by Nolumbeka Project President Joe Graveline, Native American flute musician Barry Higgins and Strong Oak, Circle Keeper of the Visioning B.E.A.R. Circle.
Celebrate with us our stewardship of Wissatinnewag Village. Following the commemoration and reception, all are invited to visit the Wissatinnewag property. Please dress appropriately.
Plan to arrive early so we can begin the ceremony promptly at 2 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Bring a guest. (Young folks encouraged to attend.)
