A friend found this ax head and thought maybe the round stone wheel may
have been used for grinding on this, what do you think? These were found
when digging a foundation close by Narrow River in RI.
This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
I see the round stone in picture #2 as having some use stain but I doubt it was used to grind the axe.
