With some strange twists on this one from a book by the referred to Archaeologist Tommy Charles:
This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
If you don't mind me being fanciful: the petroglyph shows two people with one arm raised in greeting. Across from them a third person has both hands lowered - no greeting.
