This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
When I look at this pile I see a ring of larger stones around two smaller ones. Most noticeable is the small beige stone in the middle. To me, it seems nested or ensconced between the other rocks - the central focus of the pile.
ReplyDeleteIt is not uncommon, in Acton, to see unusual rocks in the middle of a rock pile.
