On the left is a crude tool I think was hafted in the same way. The edge is distinctly serrated:
The back side is faintly polished and still greasy after all those years - even though I washed it.This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
