  1. I would call the last picture an "effigy", because it has reasonably good symmetry. Also, subjectively, it looks a bit like an altar.

    I am managing an inventory of sites of this kind throughout the eastern seaboard. I will keep this confidential, to be shared only with the State and tribal Historic Preservation Offices.
