This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
Are there any photos of the so-called "burial mounds" and the surrounding area? I can appreciate the frustration of Doug Harris and others at the meeting, trying to reason with those who have no understanding or appreciation of Indian stonework. Education would go a long way to lowering the temperature at meetings like this.
