A satellite image of a salt marsh shows a stone wall that terminates with stone circles on each side, at the edge of the water. What could be the agricultural purpose?

Plenty of quartz flakes eroding out of the bank of the cove, nearby.
- Fabulous example. A practical "European" possibility is: duck hunting blinds. But these are well built structures, and it is unlikely random duck hunters would have the skill for it.
ReplyDelete- Pink Quartz flakes? It might be tempting to cause a little bit of "erosion" and look carefully.

ReplyDeleteTim, you are right. I suspect a common function. The "best pile" was located at a similar distance from some mounds with hollows - so the overall site layout was similar.
