This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
Just watched this. I enjoyed the systematic approach and believe what he is saying. Not sure about that early date of 1825 BC. Also, his claim that it might be the first "archaeo-astronomy" site in the northeast is wrong.
ReplyDeleteAlso: what a beautiful place.
Seriousness aside, it makes me glad I cannot do astronomy. It would be so hard to go looking for new sites when proper study of just a single one is so difficult. And how about how Fred Martin correctly guessed the situation? Go Fred!
