"A stroll along Hanton City Road - Smithfield (RI) - Recent survey work has identified old boundary markers ... so cool...BTW, does anyone know why the area is being surveyed?"
This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

ReplyDeleteWhich of these structures is at which of the 2 circles on the map?
What a desecration. That's terrible. Leave no tracks, you MORONS!
ReplyDeleteCurtiss: I don't really know but will ask...
ReplyDeleteHiking in Greater Rhode Island said: The circles are "trailheads" to Hanton City Road. The markers are located along the road, mainly towards the Reservoir Road side.
