From the back one of the ridge north of the Fire Station.
Looks like a couple of piles, or a broken wall.
The lower part forms a 'V"
This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
Is this the current fire station or the old fire station? Jim Mavor reported the site behind the current fire station.
ReplyDeleteCurrent. It is a complex place with multiple sub-sites, and I do not believe Mavor reported any of the things I am mentioning. In fact I have steered clear of discussing the places he documented. FYI, when I had a chance to look at Mavor's maps of local sites in Falmouth it was very interesting that his list and my list had zero overlap - except this place north of the fire station.
