This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

The only sense I get is that they may be very old.
I have never personally visited one, but I do come across photos of some that seem to be stacked to resemble the scales around a rattlesnake's eye.
