I think the edge use is definitive. The only other part of the edge with these small facets is the inside of the bend on the "stem".
Still hard to believe.
This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
The striations? on the glass look just like those of the obvious glass arrowhead from the forums post as well
ReplyDeleteNot the striations which are features of percussive flakes - I mean the little facets right along the sharpest part of the edge. Those are signs of use.
