Someone collected all the downed trunks of cedar trees, collected them, then leaned them all up against the stone wall so as to touch the largest of a few remaining cedar trees in the area. Kind-a looks ceremonial. In other words not obviously practical.Still higher on the hill was a stone seat built on top of the ledge:
