This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
Fair enough. The evidence is piles arranged evenly around a center, like spokes of a wheel. I am not an astronomer but if these are related to time-keeping (a hypothesis) then some form of sundial should be considered.
Consider the possibility that this is a medicine wheel.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of Enderslie in Woodbridge...
ReplyDeleteI'll consider the possibility of a medicine wheel if I can see the evidence.

ReplyDeleteIf these piles were carefully measured and mapped, then we might discover something important.
ReplyDeleteTalk to Fred Martin. His surveys are careful but, as far as I know, have not resulted in a hypothesis.
