This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

I think, to be charitable, that Charity ought to look outside the boundaries of her state! If she did, she would find that uplands are typical locations for these types of sites, especially in neighboring Pennsylvania and Virginia.
We actually started looking at these patterns in WV because of reading about them in outside states! Just for my own sanity, and because I consider it a personal mission to promote WV's heritage, my work focuses on sites in the state. There are so many other good researchers, like yourself, who are working across the US, but not as much done in WV. Looking forward to reading your newest book soon!
