This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.
What site is this? I don't recognize the cairn as one found at the Oley site, and this is the only site in PA that has tested using OSL for which we have dates.
This is a good example of piles that seem to expand the shape of the underlying boulder. Look how the top of the mound, rather than being flat is, in fact, parallel to the top of the boulder.
