This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

I found the pictures from Woody Hill to be particularly interesting - especially the several examples of piles occuring in pairs with what looks like a "gateway" between them. This is reminiscent of two specific sites up here - one above a waterfall and a second at the headwater swamp of a brook system.
