State of RI officially recognizes Ceremonial Stone Features

Norman Muller writes:

Note the info below: the RI State Historic Preservation Officer has listed Indian ceremonial stone landscapes in the category of landscape types. Might MA follow suit?
This is a forward from Larry Harrop who writes that Doug Harris regards this as a victory within the state of Rhode Island.

I literally wept with joy when I read this post. Congratulations to Doug Harris and the Narragansett Indian Tribe on this important achievement. Rhode Island is one of the richest areas in the world with these kinds of stone structure sites. I am happy they are finally getting the recognition they deserve, at least in the Blackstone Valley.
