Upper Pauggussett, Newtown CT

There's some interesting stonework to be found here, where I lifted a few photos:

(and it looks like I once found a video that appears on the blog of a "Stone Wall Breaching" that I posted, probably in indignation.) 
The Tunnel of Love, possibly a remnant of an Indian Trail:
(both sides bordered by stone, probably burned often to be kept clear...)

Tall stacks like that are probably modern - since they are delicate. Also this is the stacking style that seems to be favored by people doing little works of "art" along the trails. All of which means: I wonder how ancient these are?
