This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

There are three brook sources visible on this map fragment, not counting the reservoir. The two I could get to both had rock piles.
This comprises a scientific experiment. The hypothesis that topography determines site location is tested by picking a place with the right topography, going there, and finding rock piles.
