This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

Brushing off the pine needles from the stones at the base might reveal something interesting. They could be donation stones of some kind.
I was thinking maybe a spot for a clam shell of tobacco, maybe a small depression. I do need to return to take a look at some cobbles on a couple boulders nearby.
