This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

Looks like a possible turtle effigy, with the head at the bottom of the image.
Resembles the Buell Hill Killingworth Turtle - compare it to the poster for Let the Landscape speak...
Why don't you say the same thing for the pile shown in the previous post?
For me looking at the current pile, the rectangle with hollow is clear enough. The quartz boulder can be interpreted as a window. Norman has photos of large "cairns" with similar quartz windows. I don't want to try to reconcile those ideas with the idea of a turtle. And when have you ever seen a turtle with a white head?
