This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

Marker piles anyone?
I ask readers to look at the slope, how even it is and without bumps or dips. This is a STANDARD property of rock pile grids. When built on un-even ground, the heights of the piles are adjusted to compensate. Going out on a limb here, I conclude that this part of CA had eastern tribes.
Which gets us into the question of the "Chinese Laborers" who supposedly built the stone walls in CA - as if being a laborer left you lots of time for physically demanding whimsey!
