By the third paragraph, the evidence-free discussion begins but at least an obvious idea finally gets voiced. This is Science magazine, so I do not know why they remain stuck in the what is essentially a 'Clovis First' paradigm.

Dr.Gramly just found this summer an ivory object in Kentucky that matches known examples from a Siberian site. Most interesting part is the ivory at least dated to 20,000 bp, almost the exact
same dates as the Siberian site gave.
