came across several ground piles in little ravine behind houses...thinking I've seen this before.

When I got home, sure enough there was already a "dot" on my map for the location..

 Here is a rare thing (around here), an all quartz rock pile:


It was off by itself on a little knoll just west of Center Rd.

I have seen a very similar boulder with pointed standing stone in Hopkinton -- eerily similar really.
