This is about rock piles and stone mound sites in New England. A balance is needed between keeping them secret and making them public. Also arrowheads, stone tools and other surface archaeology.

A couple of things in Bee Bee woods, Falmouth MA
[I wrote:] Saw some things in BB woods I would not be able to re-locate. For example this outline.Note the three inner rocks. Then today, I went and explored west of the highway off Blacksmith Shop Rd and saw almost nothing. This little outline next to a wall that was traversing the bottom of a kettle hole. I was thinking that this is kind a typical "bottom of kettle hole", sort of like "typical Massachusetts hilltop". Also this solitary rock-on-rock. I get a feeling the stones were borrowed from the wall in the background.
