Although not specifically rockpile related, it is a terrific opportunity to ask some questions and learn a whole lot.
Saturday, August 12th at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum near Foxwoods you can meet and talk to Abenaki author and storyteller Marge Bruchac as she portrays Indian Doctress Molly Geet. It's part of the museum's Pequot Farmstead Life in the 1700's day. Many other activities are planned in addition to this one.
It takes place between 11:30am and 2:30pm and is part of regular museum admission."Visitors are encouraged to ask Molly about her basket full of remedies, her colorful past (like how she got her name) and how she plies her trade. Molly loves to talk about her role as a typical New England healer who ministered to both Native and non-Native communities into modern times."
